Hey everyone! I’m 77 from VIVE team, and I have an update on eye-wide blendshape support for Focus Vision.
After broader internal testing, we encountered some accuracy and reliability challenges with our eye-widening solution across different face shapes. As a result, we’ve decided to take it back for further R&D.
We sincerely apologize to those who have been eagerly awaiting this feature. Our goal is to ensure it’s reliable before releasing it—even in beta. At this time, we no longer have a target release date.
Thank you again for your patience and understanding! 🙏
Wood Reimagined: The Rise of Thermally Modified Timber
In an age where sustainability and performance go hand-in-hand, thermally modified wood has carved out a niche that’s anything but ordinary. Imagine wood that has been transformed not through chemical baths or synthetic coatings, but through a process as old as time—heat. Thermally modified wood undergoes a high-temperature treatment in a controlled, oxygen-free environment. This doesn’t just dry the wood out; it fundamentally alters its structure, making it more stable, less absorbent, and significantly more resistant to decay. The result is a product that combines the natural beauty of wood with a lifespan and durability that rivals pressure-treated lumber—without the toxic additives.

What sets thermally modified wood apart isn’t just its performance, but the philosophy behind it. It’s an elegant solution born from simplicity. By using heat alone, this method avoids the environmental pitfalls of traditional wood treatments. The absence of chemicals makes the wood safer for indoor use, more environmentally friendly, and easier to dispose of at the end of its life cycle. Even better, the process deepens the wood’s color, creating rich, earthy tones that evoke the aesthetics of exotic hardwoods without the associated deforestation.
From sleek siding on modern homes to robust decking that can brave harsh climates, thermally modified wood is redefining how architects and builders think about timber. It’s more than just a product—it’s a statement that sustainable doesn’t have to mean sacrificing performance or visual appeal. As demand for eco-conscious building materials continues to rise, thermally modified wood stands tall, both literally and figuratively, as a prime example of innovation rooted in nature.
Wisdom of the day: learning a skill (such as drawing) is like playing a roguelike or souls game for the very first time.
You'll fail over and over and over, decide to quit, come back, fail harder, wonder if you're even making any progress, FINALLY get through a giant hurdle only to go face first into a wall. At some point, the only thing keeping you is PURE SPITE.
Then you finish it, feel satisfaction but you also realize that there's loads of stuff that you missed along the way. You do that, but this time you know how to avoid most traps and problems, but you will still get beaten, ESPECIALLY when you think you finally got gud.
TLDR; perseverance and paying attention are the most important things when learning any skill

I watched Oppenheimer on 35mm screening at a mini theater.
It had a nostalgic atmosphere due to the noise, flutter, and shallow focus of running film.
Expressions of physical reactions were far more powerful than general action movies and mystical.
The screen play must be dramatisated for the movie, so I wondered Oppenheimer actually hoped peace of the world.
I found the latter part was cynical due to Oppenheimer's regression and people's applause at the same time.
I want to see this work on full-sized IMAX again...!
🚀 I’ve been working on my first micro SaaS: Blitzy! It’s a super simple tool to validate your SaaS ideas lightning fast ⚡️
This project was born out of some real struggles I faced:
- I wanted to work on projects outside of home without wrecking my back by carrying extra devices.
- I needed a way to create something quickly without obsessing over details.
- I wanted to get my project ideas out there faster, without staying in the shadows too long.
- I hated worrying about my site not being responsive on different devices.
- I needed a way to gather potential users and testers in one place.
- And honestly, I was tired of installing 0.5 GB of node_modules every time (at one point, they were taking up 100-200 GB on my drive!).
With Blitzy, you can create a quick landing page with a waitlist feature in just minutes—no coding needed. 🎯
And to celebrate the launch, I’m offering a 7-day free trial so you can give it a spin. Let me know what you think!
